At Mindful You Counselling, we believe that everyone deserves to live a happy and fulfilling life. We offer a unique opportunity for you to be listened to by a trained therapist in a warm and supportive environment where you can explore your challenges and develop the tools you need to thrive.
Sam Pearmain is a qualified counsellor with extensive experience helping adults navigate a wide range of life’s challenges. Here’s a closer look at Sam’s background and approach:
Sam has dedicated her career to supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. She has worked locally with many clients and recently completed work and training within the area of grief counselling to those facing pre- and post-bereavement, and nationally, she has worked with survivors of trauma and sexual abuse, both within families and from external circumstances. Some of these adults have also experienced domestic violence.
Sam has helped many clients overcome issues no matter how large or small the challenge may seem. Additionally, through her current role, Sam’s experience extends to supporting veterinary professionals. She has trained with the Blue Cross, offering guidance to those who have lost beloved pets. Her work within the veterinary industry provides her with firsthand insight into the unique pressures faced by veterinary staff, including burnout, new graduate stress, and the challenges experienced by seasoned professionals.
Sam has a passion for helping clients with chronic health conditions especially those with diabetes and a strong interest in eating disorders.
Through her own life experiences, Sam has developed a deep well of empathy and understanding. This allows her to provide non-judgemental care and support to clients facing challenges in their life including self-image, relationships, disordered eating and well-being.
Sam creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their vulnerabilities freely, free from shame or guilt.
We believe that healing and hope are possible for everyone, regardless of background or experience.
Sam works inclusively, recognising and accepting each client as an individual; their own expert with unique needs and perspectives. She believes that by truly listening to her clients and supporting them she can offer understanding and acceptance empowering her clients to flourish; to become the people they want to be and choose the life they want to live.
